The Writing Lab Co. operates on an academic-year schedule from September 2026 through June 2027. Please refer to the dates below for scheduled studio closures and planned breaks.

Regular classes continue through the end of the 2026–2027 academic year.

Instructor Absences

Dates marked Director Away are not studio-wide closures. Classes with other instructors will continue as scheduled unless families are notified otherwise.

When a planned instructor absence affects a student’s regular session, an alternative learning arrangement will be provided based on the student’s program and the length of the absence. This may include a guided writing project, independent learning activity, instructor coverage, or, where appropriate, an adjusted schedule.

Planned instructor absences are part of our published academic-year calendar and do not automatically qualify for a makeup session. The Writing Lab Co. will determine the most appropriate learning arrangement with the goal of maintaining continuity in each student’s program.

Families affected by an instructor absence will receive details in advance.
